1. Recall: what is a presumptive test?

2. What are the advantages of using a presumptive test as opposed to a more complicated test. Which parts of your lab are considered presumptive testing?

3. After the sample is confirmed to be blood, what is the next major step in the testing sequence? Which part(s) of your lab relates to this step?

4. Some of you got positive results for several of the samples using the Kastle-Meyer Color Test. Our luminol test showed that there was only one true blood sample. Explain why you may have gotten positive results for samples that were not in fact blood.
